On an avocado farm run by Mike and Jean is LA CASITA, a charming detached two-bedroom air-conditioned cottage surrounded by avocado, orange and lemon groves. It has its own entrance and driveway, with private pool, patios and BBQ area. Only 40 minutes from Malaga Airport and set in the foothills of the Sierras, this really is a taste of Spain.
This delightful cottage has a large sunny lounge with satellite TV. Patio doors open onto a large terrace and BBQ area. There is a separate dining room with lofty beamed ceiling and a wood-burning stove. A feature stone arch leads from this room into the country style kitchen, which is fully equipped with 4-ring gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave oven and dishwasher. Outside is a small laundry room with a washing machine.

The beamed twin bedroom has two steps that lead up into an en-suite shower room with sink and toilet, while the large double bedroom has an archway leading through to a dressing area with French windows that open out onto the pool and patios. Its large bathroom has a separate shower, bath, double sink, toilet and bidet.This charming cottage has plenty of places to relax. The shady arched terrace leads through to the pool with a raised sun-bathing patio. There is a large purpose-built tiled BBQ area, and plenty of patio furniture. The well-maintained swimming pool is approximately 4m x 6 with Roman steps leading into it.
Coin and the Surrounding Area.Five km away is Coin, a busy bustling Spanish market town. Here you will find a good selection of shops, restaurants and tapas bars. Close by are some fine golf courses. Nearest are Alhaurin and Lauro golf, both within 15 minutes. These also offer tennis courts. The area is ideal for riding, cycling and walking. Take a drive inland past the granite walls of the impressive El Chorro gorge and in 45 minutes you’l l be at the lakes where boating, canoeing, swimming and fishing can be enjoyed while picnicking or lunching at one of the lakeside restaurants. For a day out, the historic towns of Ronda, Granada, Seville and Gibraltar are within easy driving distance. Or head for the coast (30 minutes); you’ll pass the white hillside village of Mijas, touristy but still holding onto its traditions. Then down to the coast to visit Fuengirola, Puerto Banus or the picturesque marina at Cabopino, all with beachside restaurants. Fancy a change - then visit old Malaga,, enjoy churros by the covered market and search its narrow streets for tapas bars and Picasso. In short, La Casita, set in its own peaceful surroundings, is a place to relax and unwind. It is ideally situated for you to explore rural and historic Andalucia , enjoy a day on the coast or just spend lazy days by the pool.
