Spanish Verbs SABER

In Spanish there are two verbs for the English "to know." One is saberand the other is conocer

Saber is used when talking about something you know how to do,e.g.¿sabe Ud. nadar? Do you know how to swim.

¡Quién sabe! Who knows! perhaps!

Conocer is used when talking about a person or a place, e.g.¿conoce Ud. a esa mujer? Do you know that woman?Sí, la conozco. Yes , I know her.

Saber is an irregular verb.

Present tense

sé, sabes, sabe, sabemos, sabéis, saben

Past imprgectsabía, sabías, sabía, sabíamos, sabíais, sabían

Past historic

supe, supiste, supo, supimos, supisteis, supieron

Future

sabré,sabrás, sabrá, sabremos, sabreís, sabrán

Conditional

sabría, sabrías, sabría, sabríamos, sabríais, sabrían
