Selow Marina is another innovative project from the Selwo Parks Companycombining a dophinarium, penguinarium, sea lion and parrot displays.There is also an imaginatively designed children's play area complete withunderground slides, tunnels and caves, and of course a choice of shopsand restaurants. Selwo Marina is to be found at Benalmádena Costa.

The dolphin and sea lion displays take place in beautiful large pools near the entrance with tiered seating which offers good visibility both above and below the water.Most of the area has a roof canopy which provides much appreciated shading.The shows are all very well presented and entertaining whilst the animalsthemselves all appear to be well looked after. In addition to these much loved public displays the marina now offers the public the oppportunityto swim with their friendly sea lions. They hold several sessions per dayat the cost of 49 euros per person. These begin with an informative talkfollowed by bathing and diving in direct contact with the sea lions.

An open air theatre provides the arena for childrens theatre and displays with exotic birds such as Macaws and Cockatoos.

The Selwo Marina penguinarium has been constructed to offer as close a proximity to natural arctic conditions as is possible in Andalucia!. You enter it through a tunnel of ice. A large central tank has been provided to house these cold climate creatures with beach areas where they can clearly be observed going about their daily routine.It is a good idea to try and coincide your visit there to feeding time as the keeper's commentary is very interesting.

Near the penguinarium is the "Centro de Observación Marina" which consists of three pools specifically designed for ease of observation of a variety of sea creatures including rays.

Selwo Marina is one further superb attraction for visitors to the Costa del Sol and Andalucia and is very much worth a visit for young and old alike.
