"A lovely place to stay with excellent facilities and a very high standard of presentation in all the living accomodation"

"Fantastic property, extremely well furnished and equipped to the highest standard. Only minus point was the terrible smell of damp in the one bedroom on the ground floor. If this was corrected we would definitely think about rebooking."

Owner reply: :We have had the room thoroughly checked for damp and cannot find any problem. This room is on the lower level and not on the main floor and not used as regularly as the other bedrooms.

Our management company inform us there was a slight musty smell which we now know was caused by the room not having been aired prior to our client visit. We have asked our manager to ensure the room is aired at all times even if not in use to ensure there is no reocurrance in the future. We were at the villa last week and everything is fine.

We can only apologise for this lapse. We pride oursleves on applying the highest standards possible in making the villa exceptional with many non standard extras.

We have been assured by our management company that they reacted quickly to the problem.

"Four couples from the United States had the pleasure of spending a delightful week at "La Residencia. We were all delighted with the experience. The home was beautiful - complete with every amenity. The views were spectacular the location ideal - not to far from anywhere on the Costa del Sol. We felt that we were guests rather than staying at an ordinary vacation rental. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms luxurious, kitchen complete with all the necessary equipment."

"I can be rather fussy , and am often underwhelmed when arriving at my hotel / villa . On this occasion we didnt think the photos that we had been sent , or the photos on the website did the villa justice ! Also the villa is clearly used regularly by the owners , as the equipment in the kitchen was first grade . If I was overly critical , I would say that the beds / linen werent up to scratch . I understand that they need to cater for singles and couples alike , but the abesnce of a double duvet in the master bedroom left me rather lonely for 2 weeks ! But everything else was 5 star deluxe . Thank you very much , we will see you again ."

Owner reply: :We laboured long and hard over the single/double bed dilemma and went for singles that can be pushed together as the villa is let through the summer months and better suited to singles.

With regard the linen, all the contents of the villa are of high quality including bedding matching the colour schemes of each room. We will review and check the management company are fully matching our instrucutions.

It is true this is our second home and we try to provide those little refinements to make La Residencia an enjoyable experience even down to the basics.

We get a tremendous amount of pleasure out of sharing our home and thank you for your comments.

"We all thought that the property was undersold on the website. It was huge and in great condition. Kitchen was amazingly equipped- double fridge, loads of crockery and glasses etc. pool was big enough for 5-6 adults to be in the water at the same time to 'mess about' in. couple of rooms did have a strange smell coming from the air con which did have a bit of a mind of its own but it worked well."
