This charming one bed roomed village house in the traditional "pueblo blanco" of Tolox is a perfect base from which to explore this unexploited and delightful area.Set in the National Park of the Sierra de las Nieves there are plenty of places for hiking, birdwatching and generally enjoying the natural beauty of the area. The house itself is built in traditional style set over 4 floors. On the ground floor is the kitchen/dining room which is equipped with a washing machine, large fridge/freezer, 2 ring hob, microwave, table and chairs for four plus plenty of pots, pans, crockery, glassware, utensils etc. A flight of stairs then takes you to the second floor where the bathroom is located. This is a large room with walk in shower cubicle, toilet and hand basin. There is also a large set of built in storage cupboards here.

On the third floor you will find a comfortable twin bedroom whilst the last flight of stairs takes you to the air conditioned sitting room. This is furnished with 2 comfortable recliner arm chairs, a t.v. with all the free to view channels as well as DVD, video and CD players. The owners have also thoughtfully provided a selection of books, videos and DVDs for your entertainment. Patio doors open from here to a small balcony from where you can enjoy the view of the village towards the central plaza. The bedroom, kitchen and bathroom all have electric fans for the summer and oil filled radiators for the winter months whilst the sitting room benefits from an air conditioning unit that can also be used as a heater.
The house itself is situated on a narrow traffic free street so is generally quite quiet. It is possible however to park your car fairly close to the house and from there it is also just a short walk to the centre of the village.Due both to the layout of the house and the steepness of the village streets this property is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. Tolox. The quaint village of Tolox is a delightful example of a traditional Spanish white village with its narrow twisting streets and central plaza, welcoming of visitors it is still a far cry from the tourist traps of the Costa del Sol and as such is a refreshing change.There are however plenty of shops where you will be able to purchase all your provisions as well as various bars and cafes, a municipal swimming pool, a street market every Wednesday and an internet cafe. Tolox is a good starting point from which to explore the Sierra de las Nieves National Park. This is a wild and beautiful place with abundant flora and fauna.The historic town of Ronda is about 40 minutes away or if you wish to visit the Costa del Sol then Marbella is also about 40minutes away.
