Three lovely books about foriegners experiences of living in Andalucia.
"Getting to Maņana" by Miranda Innes.This recounts one womans real life tale of giving it all up in North London to move to Andalucia. It is amusing and entertaining and in parts very moving.
"A Foriegn Affair:Two Innocents Abroard." by Shaun Briley
A very enjoyable and highly amusing book about a couples desire to " live the dream" in Spain with all the pitfalls imaginable. Vey much a how not to do it book! Very pertinent.
"Factory of Light." by Michael Jacobs.
A wonderful tale of life in a rural Andalucian village and the strange relationship between the modern world and a still untouched andalucia.
"Driving Over Lemons" and "A Parrot in the Pepper Tree." are two super books by Chris Stewart about the trials and tribulations of himself and his wife as they adapt to life in deeply rural Andalucia.Amusing, touching and very entertaining they offer a great insight into life in the "campo."
"Andalucia." another excellent book by Michael Jacobs.Takes a look at the history and culture of Andalucia.In particular there are very good chapters on Sevilliana( flamenco) and the gypsies.
