Alhaurin Golf Club is set in the majestic Mijas Mountains just 30 minutes from Málaga airport.It is a wonderful open setting with magnificent views both of the mountains and of Africa in the distance. The course was designed by Seve Ballesteros and it's hilly mountain landscape would provide a tough test even for the great man himself. The main dangers are the wild growing rough areas whilst the water hazards and strategically placed water features are somewhat reminiscent of U.S.A. courses. The long narrow fairways require accurate driving if you don't want to end up in the bushes, bunkers or water.However the level of difficulty can be adapted to accommodate golfers of all degrees of proficiency as each tee offers up to 6 tee off positions.Watch out for the fourth though as it has 2 bunkers on the right and 3 trees in the middle of the fairway, it seems Seve has a sense of humour! Alhaurin Golf Course with its wonderful setting and superb views is a delight to play in but does require either accuracy or a large bag of balls!!
