Casa Margarita is a typical Casaereņo village house built as it is into the rock on which the white village of Casares is founded. It is quite charming and full of character and as such a perfect holiday home for those wishing to experience Spanish village life atfirst hand.It is situated on Calle Arrabal which is a narrow traffic free lane just a few minutes from both the central Plaza de Espaņa and the old Moorish castle which perches high up above the village. To reach Calle Arrabal you have to pass through one of the old Moorish Arches set in the original village walls. Being built as it is into the rock the house is cool in the summer but cosy in the winter.
Downstairs is a livingroom with a small kitchenette off.Open stairs take you to the first double bedroom off which is the bathroom. A second flight of stairs brings you to the second twin bedroom and there is a set of patio doors taking you to the roof terrace. There is a T.V in the living room.

Casares
Casares Village dates back to Roman times and in fact the name is said to be a corruption of Caesar. It is one of the prettiest of the " Pueblos Blancos" and sits amongst some wonderful countryside on the edge of The Sierra Crestellina National Park. The local people are very friendly and there are many good shops, bars and restaurants in and around the village. There is also a lovely swimming pool which is open to the public from mid-June to mid-September.
The two main ferias to be noted take place on the first weekend in August and the weekend closest to 15th. September. During this time the whole place comes alive with music and dancing in the streets and plazas most of the night. There is also the Romeria at Whitsun when much of the village go on a pilgramage with the Virgen Mary to a nearby river where they spend the weekend.

The Costa del Sol is about 20 minutes away by car and here you have the choice of many excellent, clean beaches, two lovely marinas, Puerto de la Duquesa and Estepona Port, and lots of good shops, bars and restaurants. You will find ideas for lots of things to do on the coast on our
